Have your say on the LCC budget for the coming year

The council is consulting on a proposed council tax increase of 3.95%

According to the LCC website a decision could be made to freeze council tax or increase it by a smaller amount, however doing so would mean making greater cuts to public services than currently planned.

Likewise, a decision could also be made to increase council tax by a larger margin, however according to the website:

this would mean holding a referendum at an estimated cost of £800,000 and placing an increased burden on the council tax payer during what are still difficult times.

This is clearly a very important decision, so we at LIL would strongly encourage anyone who wishes to have their voice heard to get in contact at finance@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
