Accessibility Ambassadors Needed

The Lincolnshire and Rutland local access forums together with Leicestershire Centre for Integrated Living, are seeking volunteers who are disabled, carers or those who have been carers in the past, to become accessibility ambassadors. The ambassadors aim will be to improve accessibility to parks, green spaces and the countryside where public access is allowed. This will be undertaken by working with organisations which allow public access, to jointly produce an annual access improvement plan. We are hoping for 32 volunteers for Leicestershire and Rutland, plus a further 32 volunteers for Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. Full training will be provided. An overview of the first two day training course can be found in the application packs attached. We are currently establishing the level of interest to enable us to go out for funding. If you or anyone you know is interested in the role, contact LIL @
